Oh hrodi. He was going to be all logical now. It was Thor's turn to roll his eyes, and he didn't bother to hide it. Loki had ruined many good adventures before they began with his "logic." Of course, he'd also made others possible because of it, so it a dubious gift, but in this instance, Thor was pretty sure Loki was aiming for "ruined."
Thor listened, a growing frown on his face, as he listened to Loki come up with all the reasons why the girl hadn't been stolen away by jotun. And dammit, he was probably right. But if that were true, then the mission would just be to retrieve a runaway, and that wasn't at all heroic.
He thought about all of it. And he thought. And he thought. Then finally, his face cleared and he gave Loki a smug grin.
"That's 'cause I'm the only one that figured out what really happened," he announced. "See she left the note, and snuck out, that's how she got out and why nobody's been worried. But she was going to see her mother. She's been gone too long for that. So something must've happened while she was out there, that's why she ain't back yet. We still gotta go rescue 'er. C'mon, Loki. Let's go save this Sigyn girl."
Suddenly, Thor blinked, and his eyes went to the painting on the headboard. Huh.
