"Don't always expect you to be fun, Loki," she told him in a sleepy drawl without opening her eyes. "Sometimes you're an outright pain in the ass. But you're never boring. Tonight is no exception. Gonna miss that."
Sigyn was hovering in that sleepy state that made her eyes want to roll back in her head, even though she was trying to concentrate on what he said. All she could really grasp was that he liked talking to her, and he'd slept on stones and tree roots. If he liked talking to her, why didn't he want to do it anymore? The thought was too nebulous and fuzzy for her to grasp onto, so she simply let it go, and sighed in a deep breath that was full of his scent.
For a few more moments, she drifted, her consciousness circling around what he'd said until an idea crystallized clearly enough for her to voice it. In a whisper that was obviously tinged with humor, she said, "Bet those pine boughs on the cave floor don't seem so stupid now, huh?"
