She shouldn't say it. She shouldn't. She should be good and give him what he wanted. Sigyn knew what she ought to say was that she could walk. And really the stool wasn't that far away. She could walk that far, even with her head hurting.
But her head hurt.
And her heart hurt.
So what came out of her mouth was a rather meek, "I could use some help."
That was a compromise, right? She didn't actually ask him to pick her up and put his arms around her. Nor did she say that she could walk if she really, really, really had to. It was in the middle. It wasn't her fault if he interpreted that to mean that he should carry her. But she sort of hoped he would.
