Her heart fell. Sigyn would swear that she could actually feel it fall. She certainly felt it shatter when it hit the floor. He wouldn't even look at her? Though she was not the sort that was given to tears, she felt the hot sting of them in her eyes and swallowed hard against the lump in her throat. He wouldn't even look at her.
In fact, it seemed he couldn't even stand to be near her, because now he was moving away from her. But it had nothing to do with whether or not he liked her, apparently.
