"If it was with Thor," she muttered, "then you probably drank more than you ate. I'll make something for you to snack on when you wake up with a headache before I go."
She wasn't stalling, she told herself. She wasn't trying to prolong her time with him, when it was so clear that he wanted her gone as soon as possible. He didn't need that on a night when he was obviously suffering from the distance between himself and his children. Selfish as she wanted to be, Sigyn just couldn't do that to him. She loved him more than she wanted him.
But before she left, she needed to let him know something. Something very important.
"Loki," she said softly. "Can you please look at me? I have something to say, and I need to know that you're really listening. Not just blocking me out because you dislike me so much. Please? It's important."
