Victory held fast to her position and watched Styx and her reaction to the words she had uttered. Perhaps it was harsh or too mean to say to one's own mother but with things that had happened, Nike couldn't help it. She'd meant what she said, and her feelings were what they were. She wanted to know, she wanted to understand what it was how it could be. She had always been a fairly independent child but taking care of her siblings in the past few years had made her even more of one but it also made her very protective of them too.
He was equally angry as well as being hurt too. And so it came out in blame and anger. Styx was their only parent left and she'd not only left but left them among the Olympians. Granted, Zeus had taken them in and they all had trusted positions and getting accustomed with life there but they were really still on their own. So she wanted answers, to know why.
Nike had ranted for a bit and she knew she needed to stop and give a chance for response but it had been a time and it all came at once so she stopped and stood, and waited.
"Perhaps not, but I am here, and I am the one speaking them," she retorted. She felt as though her mother couldn't bear to look at her and she also knew that it was due to how much she resembled her father, more than any of her other siblings. "Do you, because you have a strange way of showing it to me or the others. And yet you never say anything, give no explanation for taking us from our home, and leaving us."
