Eros knew not what to say to either of them. He loved his brother dearly even though their nature kept them at opposites, and Lottie, she was a dear friend that he too cared about. He made no apologies for doing what he did and who he was, however he could acknowledge that his actions in this case had hurt someone close and for that he was sorry. He nodded and looked to his brother, knowing the seriousness of the words and knowing them to be true.
He was surprised at her words, not about him being cocky and inconsiderate, because it was true. Eros knew that and he had been since he was little. No it was defending the two of them, not wanting them to fight each other because they were brothers. It was a simple sentiment but it meant a lot to him. He certainly didn't want to fight anyone let alone his own own family.
"Lottie it was never meant to be a game. I know that how it must seem but it wasn't the intent. What he did, what he said, it was all from the heart. But this going wrong, it was on him. He reject the idea of love, not you. And then it became this terrible horribly awful thing. He should be punished for refusing and sticking to just the pursuit."
He knew of the courtly love of course. There were few things regarding love that Eros didn't know full well about. "I lead people to love and put them together. I don't make these rules they seem to want to govern themselves by, nor should it be a game. I do agree with you there. Not a game at all."
Eros sighed and remained where he was at. "What do you want Lottie? How can this be made better?"
