Eros wasn't perfect but he didn't like the accusations being thrown around and it was really ruining his mood. He felt bad for what Philotes was going through, and he wasn't used to this, not really. He shot his arrows and moved on. Good or bad. And now his brother was here because where else would he be and getting angry too. No that didn't help at all.
"She's MY friend too, and I'm sure that things can be fixed," Eros said, running one hand through his hair.
But Philotes was a jumble of anger and emotions too and how could he fix this. Normally he would smile and be charming with someone, or hug them and it would be better but he was pretty sure that this was not the way to go in this case. The duality of love was something that always warred inside of him and it wasn't always good and it wasn't always pretty.
But what he wasn't expecting was the sudden unleashing of violence when she hit him and rather hard too. Did she do damage? No not really but the intent was there and Eros got the message loud and clear. He reached up and still her striking hand. "Stop," he said softly, just holding her at bay but he had a feeling her words would hit harder than any fist.
"That's not true. It could be. And I didn't wish pain or sadness on you Philotes. I was thinking just of love and happiness," he said, not used to explaining why he did what he did. But then she mentioned Harmonia, and it pained him to think on that. And now this, and in a rare moment, Eros didn't know what to say.
H reached out for her but held his hand up. Would apologies even help at this point? "Lottie, I AM sorry. I never thought to hurt you."
Eros held up as she turned from him and moved to Anteros' arms. This was just all not good in any sense of the word. "This shouldn't be happening. He... Nicholas, this shouldn't be how it turned out. I shot him, not you. The only way to make that not work is... if he rejected it, the love, wanting it." He said, almost just thinking aloud and looked at the other two.
