Listening to Lottie and Eros cleared up a lot of his questions. He still didn't know who it was who had hurt Philotes, but it sounded like it was his brother's fault. Part of him wanted to pound some answers out of Eros before heading after the mortal whose actions caused Lottie's pain.
Lottie had fallen for a mortal, a mortal that Eros had shot with one of his arrows. Something didn't totally add up, his brother's arrows didn't usually end in this much pain or hurt, or at least not for one who wasn't the targeted.
The erote's dark eyes studied his brother. Eros did seem shocked and stunned by what had happened to Friendship. That still didn't absolve him, at least in Anteros' mind from the part he played in hurting Lottie.
"All I know is the rumors. I was about to leave Paris when I heard that Lady Charlotte Gramont was nursing a broken heart. I decided to investigate and see if I needed to act when I found out it was Philotes. No ONE hurts my friends," he growled as he clenched his fists in renewed anger.
"Hadn't been here for long before you showed up. Don't even know the name of the mortal, at least not yet, but he will pay."
