This certainly wasn't good and not what should be happening. Moreover, the not so cordial greeting from his brother who seemed of a darker mood than usual did not help things either. But if she was truthful and had no reason to doubt it, then Anteros was needed here far more than he but that SHOULDN'T be the case.
Lottie was special to him, and had been for a good time. They had had fun in many ways and enjoyed time and each other. So he thought doing something special would be fitting for her. That wasn't wrong. Love isn't wrong especially for those he held dear. So what in Zeus' name was this he wanted to know but didn't have time to think much on it as he felt the one thing he hadn't first hand - the sharp tongue and words Philotes could pull together.
He held his hands out, not wanting to seem a threat more than she perceived him already. "Yes you should be happy," he said and nodded, "and yes it was me, of course it was. You liked him and deserved happiness so yes I did. there's nothing wrong with that, there never has been."
Oh he hated feeling like this, being made to feel like what he did was wrong, that love was wasted or not a good thing. Was it so horrible to care for someone, to love them? "What, we are friends Philotes! And I do care about you, very much. But I... Lottie, he did. He should. I shot him first." Eros didn't want to snap back at her but this shouldn't be happening; he didn't make mistakes on who he shot. Sure the people may not be the right people but no. This wasn't right.
Eros looked to his brother as he stayed at her side. "Anteros, do you know anything. Or are you just here for her?"
