Peitho kept her eyes on those around them and glanced briefly at Philotes again too. Oh if they were going to play games, Petty was more than willing to do so. She had seen the older ladies, full of opinions and prejudiced and limited behaviour. As long as what she and Lottie did didn't any of the other young women who deserved all the happiness they could find, and they weren't hurting anyone, then so be it.
Society is and was a rather fickle thing, she thought to herself.
She gave Philotes' arm a soft squeeze as she tried to calm her down as she still seemed a bit tense. She was grateful that her friend was there so they could at least lean on each other. She straightened up again the center of attention within the small group. The goddess smiled as she felt the arm slip around her and she moved so she could reciprocate her own around Philotes' waist too. She was amused but would OH so play along with fervor. The gloves were off so to speak. "Hmmm a waltz. Why I do believe I could be persuaded to dance with you. So yes love, I will."
Putting on the most sweet of smile, mix of persuasion and seduction, Peitho looked at the others, batting her eyelashes at them. Oh she heard their gasp of disapproval just fine. It was against the rules and what could or couldn't be done in public. Well Peitho didn't care. And that thought made her smile even more.
Peitho reached up and offered her hand and smiled slowly at Philotes. "Shall we? We don't want to miss the beginning of the dance after all."
