Peitho loved parties and dressing up, she always had even when she was younger. And it carried on through the years, decade after decade, century after century. Some fashions were good, some were questionable, but they were always interesting to say the least. And sometimes she even got others to indulge with her too.
Tonight was one of those nights.
London society was a curious thing. On the surface she should dislike it greatly. There were so many rules and Petty was not one often liking a lot of those, and the clothing had so many layers. Peitho was her mother's daughter and didn't like many clothes period. But she did love lush fabric, lace and pretty.
And there was dancing, and oh she did like that so very much. The music may change and new dances come around but dancing was always around. She loved it so much and it was just part of who she is and was. Plus she got to spend time with Philotes. She was lovely and friendly, of course, and was a dear friend to her sister as well. They were dressed amazingly well, not too much for they would stand out just as themselves but they weren't nobodies either.
Peitho had gotten caught talking to Lady Dalwrimple and Mrs. Easton, charming them as they absolutely were not gossiping about the fake Parisian dresses a certain pair of sisters was wearing or not. Scandalous really. She smiled and nodded behind her fan. She had spent a good while setting up a impressive and incontestable background among the appropriate people and night's like this were a chance to show off.
But she did notice Lottie had gotten cornered by two of the worst and she rolled her eyes. She didn't doubt that the other goddess could handle herself with them but a bit of back-up couldn't hurt either, could it? She politely excused herself from her acquaintances and cut an envious figure as she moved across the room to her friend. She smiled as she moved in, slow to gauge what was going on, but also so they would see her coming too.
"Darling," she said smiling at Philotes. "I got waylaid and left you longer than planned. Do forgive me," she said, charming to all the others as she took Lottie's arm and smiled to the others. "Everyone is having a good time I hope?"
