Well, the reaction wasn't quite the one Loki had been expecting. Usually jotuns were proud of their captives and would have at least attempted to protect her. It would have required him to go in, teeth bared, and attack. Instead they tossed her toward the trees, showing that she was relatively unimportant to them, either in hopes to be rid of the 'wolves' or to bait them out into the open to be attacked. Regardless, this was better than what he had expected.
He let another howl go before disappearing and coming back into form behind the brush where the woman was shoved to. But his form was no longer of himself. He was going to have to do this the tricky way. Hunching over, now in lupine form, Loki stepped out from the brush as if he had been there all along. Bristling, fur standing on edge, he growled and bared his teeth, taking one slow step after another toward the woman.
Loki didn't look at her, he looked past her toward the jotuns and trying to give them warning that she was his prey and no longer theirs. One of the jotuns made a move toward him, almost as if having second thoughts tossing the woman aside, but Loki quickly lunged forward a few feet and increased the growl to a full snarl of warning. There was the risk that they would attack him. There was always that risk. Especially since they were armed and in this form he was not. But Loki was terrible with his fists. He'd have much better chance of getting her away and protecting her with his teeth.
He hoped it wouldn't come to that. He could get seriously hurt and then... well... both he and the woman would be up a creek without a paddle.
The jotun that had made motions toward him backed off, so Loki stepped back one paw at a time until he was just behind the mystery woman with bound hands. Why hadn't she run off? Maybe he was mistaken. Maybe she did want to be captured. Maybe this was some twisted kidnap fantasy or something. Stranger things had happened in Jotunheim. Well, he was going to have to make this believable, wasn't he? He was going to have to drag her off into the woods, get her hands free and escort her somewhere safe if that was what she wanted.
Lunging then at her thigh, softening his mouth enough that while he was snarling he wouldn't actually bite her. He was fairly certain he hadn't bit her at least. But Loki's teeth clamped down over her clothes and snarled while dragging her off slowly. Once he was certain they were mostly out of view and realizing she was going to probably have to scream to keep up the ruse, he leaped up and attempted to knock her to the ground. If she cooperated, he could work on tugging the ropes at her wrists free. If she didn't and she fought him... well, that would just make it more believable.
