Tyr still wasn't sure how he had gotten roped into this. Hermod, for starters, should certainly no longer need a babysitter. He was practically an adult, and Tyr had been more or less on his own by that age, if not sooner. But Frigg seemed to dote on the youngest of her brood. Not as much as Baldr, for no one would ever hold a candle to that one, but coddled nonetheless.
For Bragi, Tyr was willing to concede a little more. Not only because he was younger, but because he was like him- the son of Odin and a giantess. Someone raised in Asgard who might not otherwise have been, if it had suited their father differently.
Even given that, Tyr had agreed rather begrudgingly. He had planned to spend some time with Zisa. They were in the early stages of courtship, and Tyr was still doing all he could to win her favor. Somehow, the mention of having to babysit had delighted her, though he couldn't understand why. Women were far too complicated.
Realizing the boys had been quiet for a little too long, Tyr decided it was time to check on them. He was barely headed across the room when he heard one call for the other.
You have to meet him...
That didn't sound good. Neither did the sound that followed. He hurried toward the noises, but before he'd even gotten there, he was hearing the younger boy's response. It didn't take much to add up what was happening, and Tyr doubled his pace, practically running as he came around the corner.
"What is THAT thing doing in here?" It may not be something spoken about in certain circles, but Tyr knew very well what the beginnings were of this new pet of Odin's. People still talked. If there was anything Asgard was known for beyond its warriors, it was its gossips.
As far as he was concerned, no offspring of Loki's would ever amount to anything- even if it was fast. He'd heard that the Trickster had two daughters, apparently beautiful by all accounts, but Tyr had a hard time believing it, particularly since he conveniently never brought them to Asgard. This was the first confirmed child as far as Justice was concerned. Hopefully, it would be the last. Because if Loki could give birth to something like this, well, Tyr shuddered to think what any future children might be like. The thing had eight legs, for Odin's sake! Eight! An absolute abomination.
"Do you think bringing that animal into the Alfather's hall is something he would approve of?" Secretly, Tyr was actually amused. But it would be his hide if that horse did his business right there in the hall and any traces were left for Frigg to notice.
"You turn him around and take him right back to the stables."
