Despite her flip warning, Tyr adjusted the fawn in his arms so he could grasp the hilt of his sword. If it came to it, there was no way he was sacrificing the well-being of a goddess for that of a deer. Idun would get over it. Then something happened that he never would have expected.
Tyr watched in silent fascination as Philotes got closer to the wolves. Who was this goddess, that she could approach wolves so, and have them react that way?
As the alpha began to play with her, a pain began to swell in his chest as he remembered another wolf. One he had often played with in just that way. Tyr forced the thought from his mind. Now was not the time to dwell on such things. Whether or not they would again settle in his mind later, as he lay in his bed trying to sleep, was another matter.
He relaxed his grip on his sword, though not releasing it entirely. "Um, Philotes? Did you want me to leave you to play, or are you coming with me to Asgard?"
