Though, for a brief moment as he beckoned her closer, Frigg wondered who had who on the hook at the moment. She could retreat, leave him wanting more, but she knew from experience that you had to give a bit more than a slight verbal tease to really snare a man. Lean in and she risked the power shifting from herself to him. It was a risk she was going to have to take unfortunately.
Frigg smiled and leaned closer, a more intimate but still a respectable distance from each other. She considered enticing him by saying that if he told her a secret, she'd tell him one of hers. But then she'd have to make good on that offer and she wasn't sure what secrets she had that she could tell that wouldn't give away her plot completely or make her look irresponsible. And her mother had said to not mention the prophetic dreams to anyone ever again.
So, that idea was withdrawn. Instead, she blinked slowly -intentionally, and said,, “Yes. What is it?” This was a dangerous game she was playing and there were only three possible outcomes that she could foresee. One, he'd catch onto her intentions and quash it before it could go into fruition and she gave anything. Two, he'd lead her along, pretend to take the bait, then abandon and disgrace her afterward. Though that seemed unlikely, she's seen what the future could be like. And third, it could work exactly as she planned.
