She smiled softly as he passed the horn to her, their hands touching briefly. This was going to be almost too easy. Rather like taking sweets from a baby. Well, okay, unless that baby was Thor because then you had quite the challenge ahead of you. Not only was he extremely strong and stubborn, he had an appetite that made Frigg sometimes wonder if he actually tasted the food as he shoveled it into his mouth. Growing boy, she figured and mostly ignored it.
It was amusing that Odin interpreted her comment to mean that she hadn't had mead before. Actually, she was more or less referring to him having offered her mead. It wasn't a terribly step-fatherly thing to do -encourage imbibing. And her mother would certainly not approve. Of any of this.
“Who said anything about it being my first time?” She asked over the rim and sipped an appropriate amount before passing the horn back to him, and not only referring to the mead. There was a note of innocence in her voice, but she knew how to manipulate that to her advantage, and he was the one who put the innuendo out there for her to feed off of. And she did, just a bit.
Frigg had her suspicions that getting Odin to take the bait wouldn't be hard at all. He was a man and even at her age she understood that men could be easily manipulated by a pretty face. So having him hook onto her would be easy, but keeping him baited enough to get what she ultimately wanted most of all, that would take some time and work. She was not fooling herself. Frigg knew this would not be accomplished in one night of sharing mead.
“I have my secrets.” She said letting her veil of innocence fade just a bit. Oh, she had secrets alright. Frigg also had her ways of getting what she wanted and right now, what she wanted, wasn't the proper thing to want. One should never seek to unseat one's mother, no matter the benefits in doing so.
