A forest. Far from here. What a thing to suggest. She didn't know him at all, and here she was assisting him; leading the way so that he could escape a scene that he'd carelessly created himself. Such a strange kindness. He wondered if she was, perhaps; a goddess of kindness. Something warm and light. Shimmering.
His own home was not far, but he wasn't really in a thinking state. The mention of a forest appealed to him, however. He'd spent countless hours exploring the woods surrounding his mountain home; enough to fully familiarize himself with the landscape. It brought to mind familiar and peaceful images.
The villagers had begun to crowd in on them, slowly; in a way that made his muscles tense up; ready to take on whomever stepped forward. Or all of them at once, if needed. But she would potentially be harmed in that process; and as such, he wanted to avoid that outcome.
In terms of communication, he responded to physical contact more directly than words. It was clearer, there was less to misinterpret. As a result, he barely heard her reassurance to not take him somewhere terrible. He saw only the kind smile and felt the gentle pressure of her hand in his. Soft, small against his palm; urging him forward. He allowed her to guide him then, freely giving her his physical trust because it was a natural thing to offer. It cost him nothing, as it was something that could not be taken advantage of easily. If she did, in fact; lead him somewhere treacherous, he felt secure in his ability to be able to handle it, no matter the circumstance. But he did not believe this would be the case. It was a reaction that couldn't be explained in words, because it was based on a feeling, rather than irrefutable proof. The instinct was to follow her, and so he did; without a second thought.
"Thyone.." He repeated her name, a bit stunned. "I will take your word for it."
He wasn't sure where they were going, specifically. Wherever it was, it was away. Away from the crowd and their suspicious gaze; away to an environment that was potentially less agitating that this one. He was geared up for a fight, ready and anticipating. He felt it in his body, and in the way the air around him seemed to crackle with that intent. The final outcome was more in her hands than she likely realized. With her emotional state, she had the ability to influence his; and in this case she chose wisely in reacting in a way that was pacifying instead of invigorating.
Thor glanced around at their audience in his departure; each villager he locked eyes with immediately looking away or hastily making their own escape. Probably for the best. The man on the ground had ceased his pained groaning, but only as a result of Thor's cold stare of warning as he passed by.
