Sigyn opened her mouth to agree, that she shouldn't have judged him without knowing him when she'd just called him out for doing that very thing to her. Really, she hadn't meant it that way, but he'd taken it that way, a nd it would just be easier to say she was sorry before he had another pity party.
But it was already too late. Far, far too late. What came spewing out of Loki next wasn't just the woe-is-me stuff he'd been babbling earlier. That had made her feel badly about teasing him when he apparently had no idea how to handle that, and she'd tried to make him feel a bit better about it. She'd thought that had made some kind of difference, because they'd been having something that approached an actual conversation for a few minutes. But this? This wall of accusatory words that came rushing at her, that barely hid the venom beneath them? This was something that she hadn't been prepared for at all.
It was out of proportion the mild ribbing she'd been giving him, again, and Sigyn wasn't certain how she should respond. If he were a reasonable person she'd point out that all of those things were not her fault, and didn't have anything at all to do with her, so she didn't understand why he was angry with her. But she was starting to come to the conclusion that Loki was not a reasonable person. In fact, she suspected he might just be a crazy person, actually.
When he sat down and took out some scraps of parchment to stare at, Sigyn moved around to the other side of the fire, busying herself with skewering the rabbit so it didn't look like she'd done it on purpose just to get away from him. It put her closer to the front of the cave, which was colder and the shivers came back, but she stayed where she was. Her eyes kept glancing at the entry, trying to gauge just how bad the storm really was. If it wasn't as bad as she thought, if she could get her clothes to dry faster, she could maybe move on. It wasn't ideal. She'd spent time setting up this cave, and she'd be colder, hungrier, and less comfortable somewhere else.
But she also wouldn't be worried about saying anything aloud for fear of getting an adverse reaction.
Unfortunately, the storm was really starting to pick up now. So she was stuck. With the crazy person that wanted to yell at her for reasons she didn't understand at all. Sigyn sighed softly and pulled the blanket a little bit closer. Maybe if she just didn't say anything at all, he'd be satisfied with that. Well wasn't this going to be a fun couple of days.
She carefully set up the rabbit so she could keep an eye on it without it burning. Heavens only knew what he'd say if she burned his rabbit. She certainly wasn't going to eat it after it was done. Not now. Who knew how he'd react. With half her attention on the meat, she started setting up the porridge. Maybe he'd go to sleep after he ate.
