Sigyn was startled when her host suddenly reappeared at her side. Even more so when she realized he must have climbed through the window as well. That she'd been caught doing so was rather mortifying; though she'd known her means of egress would be discovered, she'd never imagined having to face Bragi with such information. Besides it was an acceptable price to pay in comparison to remaining and listening to a couple fight.
Except apparently they weren't fighting at all. He'd been teasing Idun. Because he liked to see her cranky. It was far less poetic than the way Bragi had phrased it, but that's what it boiled down to, didn't it? He liked to yank Idun's chain. Not that she had room to judge, because when she'd first met Loki, it had been terribly amusing to get under his skin. She'd never done it with an audience, though.
She considered asking what he meant about the final redeeming bit. It was very tempting to satisfy the urge for closure. But then she wondered if she really wanted to know, given Bragi's – at least given what she'd seen of it thus far – somewhat bizarre sense of humor. Just what would he consider to be “redeeming?” Perhaps that was bet left to the imagination.
“I'm sure he will,” she replied, though since Loki didn't know about the faux altercation between his friend and her husband, and Sigyn really didn't know how she'd explain it without making him worry about Idun, “someday” was probably not likely to come soon.
“I apologize. For the window exit,” she clarified. That seemed to be the best way to go to avoid further confusion. Misunderstandings seemed to be the them of the day. “It seemed to be a very personal thing. I didn't want to intrude.”
