Idun was not presently aware that she was a scheming adulteress, and as such, upon leaving Loki to the task of tracking down his beloved Sigyn, Idun made her way home without any true sense of urgency. She stopped to smell the roses, and the daisies, and the wildflowers that were not natural to the end of their path but grew there now all the same, likely because of some wildflower-whispering on the part of her husband. Idun was partial to wildflower bouquets. She'd been carrying one when Bragi first kissed her. As she casually strolled through the orchard on the way to their hall, she was carrying one again.
Taking her time was only an option for as long as Idun kept herself distracted. She inspected a few of her trees, picked up a fallen apple, and then she remembered that her husband was not all that far away from her. Just inside the hall, to be precise. And because Bragi was so very, very close, a switch was finally flipped in her mind, body, and most importantly her heart, that made it impossible for her to meander aimlessly any longer. This was apparently what being sickeningly, madly, fully in love did to a goddess. Remembering that Bragi was just inside their hall was all it took for her to scoff in the face of nature and outdoor beauty and the potential activity of tree climbing and promptly scamper off in the direction of their doorway instead. Idun kept her bouquet tightly in her hand, but ended up losing the apple somewhere between two rows of trees.
She'd find it later.
Finding her husband was far more pressing.
"Bragi?" she called as she entered the hall. Idun slipped her shoes off at the door, and then took a few steps deeper into the foyer, peering into a side room as her search for her husband began. It was silly, being this excited to see him when she had only been gone for a few hours, but it really couldn't be helped. Bragi was somewhat addicting, with great emphasis on addicting and next to none on somewhat. "I picked some flowers. I don't actually know where I'm going to put them, but they were very pretty. There was also an apple that I was thinking we could share, but thinking about sharing an apple sort of made me rush back inside to see you again, so I actually dropped the apple. Accidentally. Another casualty in this war of our hearts, I'm afraid." Idun peered around another corner. "Where are you? I'm not talking to myself, am I?"
