OOC: This takes place before the Norse family meeting and pancakes
Bragi did not mean to be late. He arrived at the Bifrost bridge with what he hoped was time to spare. One problem was that he wasn't exactly sure the exact time Idun had said in the first place. Still, he'd arrived early enough that he was sure he would make it that time and he would have gone straight to their hall after he'd talked to Heimdall for a few minutes, but then somehow The Seven Years War came up. Bragi wasn't sure how, and he wasn't sure why, but really given the circumstances he was lucky he made it to their hall when he did. They only talked for about thirty minutes. The Seven Years War was seven years long. He could have talked about it for three years, and still come out impressively ahead. Well, if he knew more about it. Bragi didn't really like to talk about wars.
But even though he did not mean to be late, by this time, Bragi felt quite sure that he was. He ran to make up for lost time, and took a few shortcuts through the orchard, but deep down he knew that this wouldn't be enough when he strolled through the door into their home. Then he frowned. An unforeseeable obstacle blocked the way to the kitchen. “Mudge, budge.” Bragi said. The snow leopard reluctantly pushed itself up and moved out of the hallway. Bragi walked into the kitchen a few moments later.
He put a single flower on the counter. It was a Nova Scotian Mayflower. Then Bragi greeted his wife with a kiss and eyes that promised eventual penance. Instead of a usual greeting, however, he decided to get right to the point by imitating a new voice he'd heard recently. He leaned in and said, “'Really, how can you not just adore her immediately? She's fabulous! And we've been like long-lost-twins-that-found-each other ever since, basically, because really, her heart is like my heart and I just can't tell you how much she means to me, and how great it is that when we play poker she doesn't penalize me when I roll a four and lose the little tophat in the corner pocket, and omigods, she is the best person to watch My Little Ponies with, and somehow we just kept missing each other which seems really odd somehow, but you should be home more because she's so happy when she's with you and then we would have met by now, wouldn't we?'”
