“No, the bathroom is in my temple,” she corrected with a small laugh. But Bast didn't think that it sank in. Not only because he was happily tripping out on rainbows and sunshine or something, which was obvious when he talked about flying, but also because she didn't think it had a chance to reach the still-thinking part of his brain before he fell over. Apparently the stepping part had been a bit beyond him, and she felt bad. She'd thought she'd made it easy for him, but instead she'd ended up causing him to stumble.
Any other thoughts on the subject, good or bad, however, flew right out of her head when an extra set of appendages made an appearance. The thing about flying wasn't because of the acid. It was because he could actually fly! Thanatos had wings!
Somewhere, Bast thought she knew that. She'd read it somewhere or something. And she'd met winged gods before, most of them from the Greek pantheon. She just hadn't been prepared for smiling, goofy, charming Thanatos to have them. Or for them to be quite so big. And so black. And so big. For the moment, she could even ignore the big boots sticking out the side of her tub, the boxer shorts dangling off one toe.
Standing she slowly moved over to the tub so that she could look down on her guest. And his giant wings that were now taking up a goodly portion of the marble bowl. Without asking, she simply reached out and stroked one long, soft feather. Bast was a terribly tactile person and she enjoyed touching and being touched. And she really, really liked touching wings. The fondling lasted a moment or two longer, and then she went into action.
First the boots were removed, tossed over her shoulder to land with a hard clump-clump somewhere behind her. In short order, her own clothing joined them. Never one to be shy or self-conscious about her body, she didn't bother trying to cover herself. Instead, she stepped into the tub and held out one hand to Than. “Up. It's time to cool you off just a little. You'll like this.”
With her other hand, she turned on the overhead shower, not even remotely worried about the temperature. She'd left it set where she liked it and nobody was allowed to mess with her stuff in her private rooms.
