“We're in my temple.” Further elaboration on that would wait until later, when he was better able to process complex thoughts. Right now, Bast was afraid that too much information would send him skittering off in a new and odd direction. His trip right now seemed to have him happy and she liked him that way. She'd seen people have negative affects to drugs before, and she much preferred this.
Didn't hurt at all that he kept looking at her like she was the most beautiful and wonderous thing in all creation, either. He said she spoke music. That one was going to stay with her for a long time. On dark days when she was struggling or unhappy, Bast was going to be able to pull that out and feel better about herself. She spoke music, and she was golden, her kisses were molten. She was saving those, all of those, storing them up.
When he said he was done, Bast turned to look only see him grinning at her while still wearing the boxer shorts and those clompy boots. She smiled and shook her head. “Not done. Started. Here, I'll help you.”
It wasn't as though she hadn't peeled other people out of clothes before, and Thanatos was already wearing considerably less than most. The shorts, those would be easy. The boots would be the harder part, so that's where she started. Remembering how hard it had been for him to stop when they'd been walking, Bast kept her movements slow and smooth. She put herself in a position that would make it easier for him to use her for balance, if he needed to grasp her shoulder. Then she quickly unbuckled the boots to make them looser around his calves. That done, she simply reached up and tugged the boxer shorts down to the floor, so they framed the boots where he stood.
Looking up, though she admitted she took her time doing so, Bast told him, “Now you just step out. You can hold onto me if you need to. You step out of your boots, and then go get in the tub, alright?”
