That inched her eyebrows up slightly. Charming? Her? Idun very rarely felt the need to act the way she had the day before, and whenever she did, she always believed she was in the right.
In the moment.
Outside of the moment, however, there was typically a brewing apology for being intolerable and rude. But looking at Bragi, Idun suspected he was teasing her. He wasn't truly praising her for her behavior a day ago. If he had been, well, there was something wrong with the god's perceptions, for starters. Confirmation of his playful jesting came with the mention of the bird, and then Idun was lost in a surprised puff of laughter. "That sweet little bird?" she gasped playfully.
There was a solemn nod given when he leaned to share his secret bird knowledge. Bringing them closer made his presence a bit more overwhelming to her system. Idun smiled and ignored that invisible heat still licking at her cheeks. He leaned away and she was fine again, but the reaction was a bit alarming. Oh, she was in trouble. Oh, the flirting that this encounter would spark. "Well, if I ever figure out the summoning thing, I'll be sure to teach that bird some manners. Honestly, berating you for appearing in that tree without announcing yourself? Who would do such a thing?" Idun paused for effect, then chuckled and bumped her arm against his. "Present company excluded."
If she had to name the thing that was catching her so properly off-guard, it was perhaps the fact that he was willing to list reasons to remain in his company. She thought it was very charming, though Idun had to wonder if these lists had been made for anyone else. His voice had a quality that made Idun think of honey, and Bragi seemed aware of that as well, with the way he kept talking and sounding so good. On purpose. No, Idun was caught up for the time being, but seeds of doubt had been planted. They always were, at one point or another. It was why marriage just wasn't in her future. "I do enjoy picnics, and the poetic irony enjoyed by bears," she mused, but then a sigh passed her lips and Idun was tilting her head so she could properly catch his gaze. "You don't have a new third reason available, do you?"
