Not entirely sure which of her various questions to answer, or in what order; he dived in a bit randomly.
First he nodded, an expression of something mixed with fondness and respect in regards to her comments about all of his friend's fine qualities. "I do know of his loyalty." And his wings. But for Thor, the loyalty was a far more memorable and impressive trait.
He stiffened a bit at her mention of Hel. "My home is Asgard, so yes of course; I know her." Though he held no negative thoughts towards the Queen of his realm's underworld; it was difficult to discuss her without Thor being immediately reminded of her father. And he didn't want to get into that topic right now. It would change the tone of things dramatically if they started down that route. And they'd been having such a pleasant, somewhat one sided, conversation. It was nice to hear that someone so clearly valued the company of Thanatos. He had been under the impression he was a bit low on friends. Probably by choice.
But then she'd said love. It sounded like it might have been a slip up, but there it was.
A gradual smile formed on his face. "That's wonderful that you are such close friends!" He loved his friends. He loved his family. He knew what he sounded like when he spoke fondly of them. There was a warmth, and a comfort there. However, it had been a very very long time since he'd experienced the type of love that was decidedly more intimate. That type of love brought with it, in his experience; so much pain. After what happened with Sif, he simply did not want to revisit that anytime soon. Too many trust issues, too many complex emotions that hadn't been sorted. But he remembered what it had felt like when he first met her, when things were blissful and happy - at least on his end. Most importantly, he remembered what he had sounded like then. Because it was the tone Makaria had in her voice now. That same giddy, excited quality.
