"The best way to get him to smile is to get him drunk. You just have to remember that he's very serious most of the time, as our line of work is super serious. But I mean, he doesn't only smile when drunk, just more frequently. I can make him smile. And I can make him sort of smile sometimes. But then there was a time in my life where my favorite face was his panicked expression as I climbed really tall things, or ran onto a battlefield to collect a soul. I've been skewered, run through, hit with a cannon ball, um.. had an arrow through my arm. He just freaks out. I mean yes I bleed and yes it's painful but I don't really die. Oh and I tried to drown myself once. I mean I just wanted to understand how the Mortals felt and when he found me clinging to a rock in a river.. Oh boy." Makaria's face just kind of lit up.
"Did you know he has wings? He can fly. I'm jealous I don't have wings but I mean if I JUMP off of something really tall he can't panic too much because he could easily catch me." Makaria was smiling wider, and brighter.
Yeah it was pretty obvious.
"And as much as he tries to be somewhat aloof, he's got a lot to say when something is on his mind. And he can talk for hours when he gets going. And he's fantastic to picking out desserts. He loves poppies, the flowers I mean. His family is kind of nuts, not that mine isn't, but he loves them all the same just like I love mine. He's severely loyal." Makaria realized she was doing it AGAIN.
"Sorry. I.. ah.. I really just love him. I mean, enjoy his company, I mean, we're friends. You know how it is." She said love.
Hades she was stupid.
NOT HADES. NONONONONO NEVER KNOWING NEVER NO HER DAD COULD NOT KNOW. AH.
"I've heard your name before. Maybe Hel mentioned it to me. Do you know Hel? And well, you are very tall, it's kind of distracting."
