Rosmerta smiled as the other goddess gushed about her pantheon of origin. It was something of a relief, actually, given that their respective pantheons had some conflicts in the past. Or, more specifically, Peitho's pantheon had invaded hers, and it hadn't been pretty at all.
But this goddess did not seem to be in anyway attached to war. Though Rosmerta had met their War and he was...
She shook her head slightly to clear out those particular memories and focus on what Peitho was saying. A smile creased Rosmerta's face when she realized that she'd found somebody that could help her. This goddess knew Mercury.
A bit better than Rosmerta had anticipated, though. The smile fell from her face as she though about the way Peitho had said the phrase βhe leaves me at home.β That was said like somebody that shared a specific home rather than, say, a neighbor that shared an area. He left her at home. Quite often. To wander.
Huh.
There was a bit of bite to Rosmerta's tone when she asked for clarification. βI'm sorry. Did you say he leave you at home? As in at home at home? I... just how well do you know Mercury?β
