Rosmerta had been looking for another deity, but when she finally found one, she nearly ran her down! “No, I think that was my fault. I'm sorry.”
Truthfully, it probably was. She had been so focused on trying to narrow down the tingling sensation of another divinity nearby through the haze of commerce buzzing around her, she'd actually been a little befuddled. And for some reason Rosmerta couldn't explain, she'd been looking up for whoever she'd been hoping to find. Which made no sense, but it was part of the reason she'd run into the other goddess.
“Are you alright?” she asked. “I didn't step on anything important, did I? Were you carrying anything? I didn't see, did I knock anything out of your hands?”
Rosmerta's eyes went to the ground nearby, but she didn't see anything, so she assumed that nothing was actually damaged. Considering that they were in the market area, it wasn't odd that she worried about possible packages; besides, with the way the city's inhabitants tugged on her for abundance, her brain was sort of geared towards a commercial mind set anyway. But seeing the ground nearby littered with the usual refuse and detritus, but nothing that looked like a recent purchase, Rosmerta felt a little bit better.
Though she'd still run into someone, so she finally looked at the goddess she'd accidentally smacked into. And blurted out, “Say, you're not Roman by any chance, are you? Or Greek. Sorry. Greek. Roman. Whichever. Are you?”
