Peitho immediately took a somewhat defensive stance when Rosmerta crossed her arms. Jealous did not become her but she was Aphrodite's daughter and love scorned was also on her side too, and she had many brothers and if this one wanted to fight, she wouldn't disappoint her. But she wouldn't play fair and seemed to back down so Persuasion sighed, understandably upset.
Ugh, Hermes was going to get an earful from this, but she couldn't just leave. She wanted to smack the other goddess. And she was driving her crazy, calling him Mercury. She didn't like that at all. He was Hermes. He would always be Hermes. But her anger was toward him as well. He had a girl in every port it seemed. Could she fault them for their feelings toward him if they didn't know about any others?
Right then, yes. Yes she could.
However, she had been raised better than that. It didn't stop the fact that something must be done and she would prefer anything over a catfight in the streets. Oh what gossip that would be. Her mother would just love that, not to mention a good number of others too. Peitho liked to be talked about but not like that. So what was to be done?
"I see." An 'understanding' as well. Peithos nodded. "Yes it is very uch like that. We aren't married but have had an... arrangement for many years," she answered.
She glanced around, taking in their surroundings and could disagree with her suggestion. "I think you could be right. Let us walk and continue our talking." Peitho stepped back and motioned for her to continue on. She would lie, she was now very curious as well as anything else.
