Idun hadn't even considered all the parts of Philotes' outfit until they were already running, and by then, it was a little late to offer up any helpful suggestions. Not that Idun had any. She'd been wandering around in scratchy breeches meant for a man for the better part of the day, and even if the fabric was unpleasant against her skin, it was easy to run in. But a skirt wasn't! No, as she bolted through the field, hand clutching tightly to Philotes', Idun had the good manners to yell "Next time, no skirts!"
Because there was going to be a next time. After the running and the stopping and the miraculous lack of lanterns dropped along the way to set fire to the field, Idun let out a shaky laugh and then grinned. There would have to be a next time! Even out of breath, Idun could not ignore the fun of all this, the adventure and intrigue and unexpected delight! Except...something wasn't right. They turned together to face the fireworks, and Idun was about to voice her concerns just as Philotes did. Her brow furrowed. "Are they--"
Sideways. Sideways. "Ohhhh," she breathed, a very mellow reaction all things considered. Her real response was simply delayed, however. Her hand instinctively squeezed Philotes' as the other goddess shrieked, and then she nodded and tugged and bolted out of the path of destruction. Just in time, by the looks of things.
"There's...we lit...ah!!" Idun stared into the fiery trail, and from the light of the blaze, she could see the darting shadows of tiny creatures and then finally, finally, she properly began panicking. "Field mice!!" she shouted, before taking off in the direction of the fire to try and help in some way. Stomping the flames was too logical. She needed to think of the animals first!!
And none of those animals were particularly willing to accept her help, so more running was about to take place!
