Phobetor's hold on the god's face eventually let up as he felt his father smile against his tummy. He slipped away settling easily on his father's shoulder. He didn't need the hand to steady him, but the touch was not denied nor shunned. In fact, it was welcome.
His hand settled on the back of Hypnos neck to steady himself as he looked over at the half collapsed block wall. "I am going to knock down the wall!" He exclaimed proudly. "This is important," he nodded. "I can get them all to fall down at once!" He was sure of it. There had to be the perfect way to get it crumble completely. He hadn't even noticed that he'd woken his dad or left the door open so that the sound carried off down the hall to disturb him.
Now that he was given attention, which he loved, he was going to bask in it. Dad gave the best hugs in the world. They were almost as good as mom's, and he'd say better than Auntie Lottie's. That was probably extreme favoritism speaking, but he was too young to know what that was, and if he did he wouldn't care.
"I didn't get as much this time as I did last time," he admitted slightly pouty.
