A wave of relief washed over Persephone. It wasn't that she doubted that Lottie would do everything in her power to assist her, but there was just something final about hearing the words instead of just relying on faith. She had a lot of faith in her friend. It was wonderful to know that her children would be in good hands, not that they hadn't been. Hades had quite a good support group helping him and watching out for Melinoe already. Some were a little too helpful, but considering the nature of their child, it didn't seem like it could hurt too much.
Lottie could also help mitigate any misunderstandings between her new child and her family if it would arise. She was much more open, affectionate, and easier to deal with than many if not most of the other children of Darkness.
It was a bias she'd tried to stamp out more and more as she came to find her days on Olympus paling to those here below, but it was hard. Being raised to believe that everyone below was dangerous, and coming to find out it was true, was a hard condition to break. She felt it was one of her faults as queen and she it made her cheeks redden as she realized how little she thought of her own subjects. She wondered if it was how Zeus felt, without the shame of course.
"Well, he just needs time," she assured the other goddess, before she looked over to see her impersonation. The situation suddenly went from very tense and serious to Persephone letting out a very unladylike sound. She wasn't sure if it was a guffaw or a snort or something strange in between, but it echoed throughout the cavernous garden. "You have to show him that face," she somehow managed through gasped. "It's," she breathed. "Exactly what he looks like," she breathed again. "When he does the thing," she said waving her hand as she was still trying to speak. Instead, she just settled for gesturing to her face as if that was the rest of the sentence right there.
