Hades nodded. “Well Sophocles is...” he started to say. The look in her eye and the sly smile told Hades that she was teasing him. Playing. Oh. He stopped immediately.
When she accepted so promptly, Hades blinked. She was being so nice about it. Much nicer than Hades expected for a goddess who probably got requests like these all the time. Minus the souls involved. And she'd been quicker than Hades expected too. He hadn't even had to offer her a first born or anything. Which was good, because that would bring up all kinds of paternity issues that Hades didn't wish to delve into.
He felt so relieved that he barely noticed either touch, and when he did, Hades accepted them with an extremely rare smile. He did wonder what he'd owe her later though. What was the direct counterpart to winning when it came to a transaction like this? “Thank you,” Hades said. Then he added “And if you ever need the use of any of my patronages in return, be sure to let me know.” Hades tone was slightly facetious. But that didn't mean he didn't fully intend to hold the offer up, should she ever take it. It was only fair.
