Hold her or carry her? Eros could carry her to the bedroom where he could hold her naked body against his own and do all kinds of things only love gods really knew how to do. Lottie wasn't totally sure what those things might be exactly, but she was pretty sure they'd make her feel like stars were exploding from her belly and shooting out her toes.
Then she realized he wasn't talking about doing wickedly wonderful things to her body. He was talking about flying. She tried very hard not to be disappointed, because he was taking her flying. It was something she had always wanted. Many of her siblings had wings, so did her mother. She'd always been jealous of that, but she'd never thought to ask them to take her flying. And here was Eros, offering. It was amazing, and would be utterly wonderful.
Just not as wonderful as sex.
Philotes smiled rather shyly and said, “Which is easier for you? I mean, you're the one being kind enough to do this for me, I don't want to hurt you or make it harder--” She abruptly blushed at her choice of words and the thoughts they brought to mind, so she finished in a rush, “so whichever is easier for you is just perfect.”
