Lottie smiled gently at Hermod. “Well, I don't think I much look like a Valkyrie, so it's probably not going to do you any good to think of me as one of them, is it? But you got over your shyness with them, right? Is it because you live with them and see them all the time? You just got used to them? Well, then, you'll get used to me. And for the time being, we'll just ignore the blushing. Alright? And you can think of me as a sister that you didn't get to have if it helps, and if you want to.”
She leaned a little closer, to whisper conspiratorially, “Look, you blush, and I babble. We both have a little problem with nervous reactions, so in the end, we're kind of in the same boat, right? I don't mind your blushing, and you're kind enough to put up with my babbling, so we're going to be just fine, Hermod. We'll be friends.”
Philotes reached around him to unhook the bar holding up the hood on that side. Once that was done, she went around to the other side to do the same. “We should probably do the motorcycle first, don't you think? Even at it's top speed, I don't think it could match the Bugatti, and I wouldn't want to feel like it didn't live up to the ride if it went second. But then again, it's a motorcycle, a lot more open air, so it might feel faster than it is. What do you think?”
As she spoke, she continued to prep the car for a second passenger, even though she was sure it would be driven second. No harm in having all her ducks in a row.
