Sigyn stared at the man standing there, his hair rumpled, his face serious. It took a moment for everything he'd just said to truly register, because her first reaction had been disbelief. She blinked, and then a grin spread wide across her face. A moment later it was followed by a hearty chuckle that she didn't even try to contain. With anyone else, in any other company, she might have tried to be a bit more ladylike, but she was both startled and pleased and didn't even think to curb her reaction. Sigyn laughed.
Before he could think she was laughing at him, she held up a cautioning hand and explained, “I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm not laughing at your advice. It's very, very good advice and it warms my heart, it really does, that you're the sort of father that would support your daughters that way. And it is ridiculously sweet that you'd offer that same advice to a stranger that you just met. I do appreciate it, please don't think I don't, it's just...”
And there, she had to pause as another giggle bubbled out of her lips. “It's just that you're Loki! You have to know the reputation that you have, and here you are... giving me fatherly advice. I'm sorry, it just tickles me. Thank you. For the advice and making me feel... better about being me.”
Her smile turned teasing, as did her tone. “Are you alright? Do you need to say something lascivious and naughty to balance out the niceness? It was so kind of you to say such things, I'll let you get in one free flirt without even threatening you with the hammer if you like. I might even be convinced to keep this to myself to protect your reputation. Of course, that will probably cost you.”
