He decided to let his comment about her strokes go completely by the wayside. She didn't catch the innuendo and he certainly wasn't going to draw attention to it. He didn't want her to think he was a lech. Which, contrary to rumor, he wasn't. So he wasn't to mention that his words could have been taken in a far more... intimate context. Instead, he took what was probably not a wise decision to make and commented instead on her last remark regarding others not understanding.
“If by others you mean Frigg,” he didn't expand to say and her coop of clucking handmaidens but it was implied. Most of the handmaidens had been kind to him when they wanted him in their beds. Loki had his suspicions, though, that the 'others' Sigyn was referring to was probably the chief asynia... Miss I-Wouldn't-Know-Fun-If-It-Bit-Me-In-The-Ass... and Loki had some very strong feelings about that woman. “Tell her to piss up a rope. You'll be much better off for it in the long run.”
It was his honest feeling on the matter. To further stick his foot in his mouth, he added, “I think she does you all a great disservice by keeping your fields of expertise so narrow. Good on you for doing your own thing. And you can tell her I said that if you want.”
Then Loki paused, smiled and handed the pendant back to her. “This is extraordinary work. You shouldn't hide it. You are very talented.” And dedicated. Loki wasn't sure that he, himself, would have the sort of patience that was required to make the paint, make the brush, make the pendant and then paint said pendant.
She was also quite beautiful. Not in the arrogant sort of way that Sif and Freyja were at times, that in-your-face obtrusive beauty. No, she had a soft, natural beauty. A comforting, inviting sort of beauty and when Loki found himself looking at her face again he didn't want to look away. So, for the moment, he didn't. He didn't so much stare, as just look at her with a pleased expression on his face. A stark contrast from the snark he had given moments before regarding Frigg.
