"It is a pleasure to meet you, Sigyn." Isis had been correct in her assumptions, though it really was too obvious a story to be anyone else. While she was only vaguely familiar with the goddess, Loki was infamous. Though, based on what Sigyn said, it was likely some of what Isis heard had been skewed. She knew all too well what the writers of the modern era thought was "fact" when it came to their ancient past. And those from Asgard obviously had very biased opinions.
She listened as Sigyn seemed to be struggling to maintain an even voice. She listened as she turned to face her, knowing she was seeking her eyes for the truth of the Queen's intentions. She also listened between the lines. This woman, poor thing, had lost so very much and was terrified she could lose what little she had left. More than that, she really needed someone to talk to.
"I can understand your hesitation, and I hope you will take me at my word that your secret is safe. I know the rulers of Asgard, and while we get on well enough, I see no reason to let them know anything they don't already." It would not help Sigyn's faith in her if she found out afterward that Isis knew Odin and Frigg. Better to put it out there right from the start. Because Isis was determined that she would see more of this exiled goddess from the North. Poor dear really needed a friend.
Patting the hand crooked in her arm, Isis smiled. "Come. I think a good cup of tea is in order. Sadly, they won't be likely to have my favorite, but perhaps we can find a place that at least serves a warm cup." Then Sigyn could speak more if she wished, or simply relax for a little while. Goodness only knew when the last time was she got to just sit and do nothing but sip a cup of tea. Her own hunt for the questionable statue could wait a little longer.
