"Oh, I certainly agree," Cernunnos said, and that was nothing but the truth. He did much prefer laughter to being angry and upset, and given that his temper was kind of towering once he got started, it was easier to just not get upset about things. That was the only downside of being part of a warrior culture, the fact that it always seemed to keep his temper on edge. At least there really weren't that many things that set him off.
"I actually imagine our paths will cross quite a bit," he added with a smile. "I wouldn't be surprised if the people start associating us together more and more often, especially after this situation resolves," he continued. "It's a natural progression. We are, for all intents and purposes, the perfect couple as far as the people believe. We're both halves of the fertility cycle, male and female, Earth Father and Earth Mother." A tiny, teasing quirk of his lips. "Maybe they'll start choosing a husband for you every year and give me a break." Okay, so maybe the tiny, teasing quirk turned into a huge, teasing grin.
