"A waltz, well I guess that is better than the Spinner," he remarked. "But why would they change the name of it, if they didn't change the steps? There are so many possibilities, especially ones that aren't as..." Anteros' voice trailed off as he tried to decide on the right word to describe the dance without possibly offending his new friend. "...proper," he continued.
The erote took a sip from his glass of wine. There was something intriguing about his new acquaintance; it almost felt like he should know her.
Brown eyes sparkled with mischief. "No I am not looking for a duel, at least not tonight." He was half tempted to comment that he was a lover, not a fighter, but anyone who knew him, knew that he was both.
"Most battles seem to be fought for pride or ego," Anteros stated. "Far too many are needless. That said, I am willing to fight for the underdog, to protect those who can't protect themselves." The erote caught himself before he launched into a lecture.
"And what do you think is worth fighting over? Or do you just like setting up duels in your spare time?"
