That had been precisely what Harmonia had been trying to say, that they needed each other for balance, but it ended up coming out jumbled and wrong. As it usually did. She could only hope that as she got older there would be less confusion about what she meant and more coherence. Everything was necessary in some way, shape or form. She may not like a certain thing, and there was no rule that said she had to like everything, but all things were necessary. If they weren't, in some way, they wouldn't exist.
At least that's what her mind could wrap around it so far. Harmony and balance wasn't about peace and love and happiness only. That was the ideal people hoped for, sure, but the opposite was necessary. Everything had to have an opposite number. Everything.
Balance looked curiously as the other goddess held out a hand for her to take. There was a moment's hesitation when she considered that if she went with the other goddess Eros might tell their mother that she hadn't listened to mother's orders. Or worse, tell their father. Though, Harmonia wasn't as concerned about her father being angry with her as she was with her mother. On the other hand, she certainly wasn't a child and being forced to only do as instructed was a little childish.
Harmonia needed to think for herself. Except that thus far, thinking for herself had her saying hurtful things unintentionally to this very kind goddess and she was a little afraid she might do it again. So, with a little hesitance because Philotes was still mostly a stranger, Balance placed her hand in the Underworlder's and gave a soft, friendly smile. “Okay.”
