She instantly felt horrid, like she'd somehow offended this goddess without even trying. She couldn't help it she didn't know how to really talk to people, especially Underworlders. She was always supervised and then everyone seemed to want to talk for her. “Oh, I didn't mean to make it sound like the Underworld and everyone in it was bad. I'm sorry. I mean, I just hear stories. You're the first Underworlder I've ever met.” Harmonia scrunched her nose up again, this time in frustration. She wasn't helping this at all, was she?
“I mean... We have to have an Underworld, it's important. You can't have Olympus without an Underworld. Wait.. that's worded badly. Um...” Balance certainly wasn't feeling like she was being very articulate. She was probably just making it worse. “You can't have up without down, right? Because if everything was up, you'd never know different from up or appreciate it for what it was.”
That was basis of it. Her brothers sometimes told her that she was making it more complicated than it needed to be, that things just were and that was how it was going to be, but Harmonia knew that everything needed to be in balance. The universe and creation all required it. “And even Olympus has nasties. My aunt Enyo is prime example. I don't think she has any nice qualities at all.” Harmonia sort of half-smiled and shrugged.
“I'm really sorry if I offended you. I don't know how to talk to people. I don't meet new people very often. In fact, the only reason I'm out here at all is because Mother wanted me to bathe and Eros is supposed to be keeping an eye on me. Like I'm a child or something.”
