Oh. She was one of those Olympians that looked down on Underworlders. That was really, really disappointing. Lottie was just starting to like her, even if she seemed a little naïve. Ares was probably wise in not explaining what evisceration was. Friendship wished she didn't know either, but she did have some siblings that were much like what Harmonia was describing. At least on the surface.
But Lottie knew that there was more to her siblings, more to most people, than met the eye. After all, she wouldn't have pegged this sweet girl as a bigot. Yet, she seemed to be leaning that direction, even if she qualified it.
So she felt it was best to confess, “Stories can be exaggerated, but there are parts that are pretty unpleasant. They need to be. But Seph even has a garden, though I don't know when she finds time to make it grow because she really is a very good queen and I really like her quite a lot, and I'm really happy that Hades married her because he seems a lot happier when she's around, and I know that a lot of people think it's really an ugly place, but that's not all of it, there's more too it, and there's sort of a dangerous beauty to it that I suppose most people would miss, but I love it.”
Lottie shrugged one shoulder and said, “My father is Erebos, my mother is Nyx, and my siblings are some of those scary Underworld people. Like the Keres I was just talking about. They bring death. Violent death. I bet your dad probably knows them. They like battlefields a lot.”
