Zelos didn’t finch when it became apparent that Zeus preferred Bia’s answer to the rest of theirs. He had had a pretty good idea as to what it was that their king wanted to know. But he was first going to make certain that Zeus understood that they all stay together. There was no way in Tartarus that he was going to lose anyone else.
“We each have our own talents, sir,” he said, addressing the king’s direct question. “Nike will be of the most use to you in deciding the outcome of any battle. And Kratos and Bia can fight off any threat that approaches.” He knew Nike and Kray could speak for themselves, but he liked to brag about his siblings’ abilities.
“And I can tell you who envies your throne the most. I can see rivalries and cause them if the need arises. I am good with weapons.” What else could he say? He wasn’t sure he would be as much of an asset to Zeus as the others. But if the other three were helpful, then maybe Zee would be allowed to stay based on their merits.
“I learn quickly, my lord. So anything you need me to do, I can study for and be prepared in little time. I can also keep secrets very well.” Which was very true. There were things he knew that he had never even told his siblings. Things he had witnessed before and during the recent war that he saw no reason to burden them with. He would tell Zeus, but only if he was asked.
