Zelos had his hands on the door to the throne room. He knew they should be hurrying, try to get there before Zeus got tired of waiting for them. But this was a very serious thing for them. Their father was dead and their mother had left them in the care of the new king. And he had no idea what Zeus had planned for them.
Zee looked back at his siblings, trying to look confident for them. He was the leader; they were his responsibility now. His brother and sisters had done well in the war. He was proud of them, especially Kratos. His baby brother was still too soft. Kray was Strength; he really needed to toughen up. Zee would handle that later. He certainly wasn’t going to let anyone try to intimidate Kray, Nike or Bia now. He would do what he could to keep them safe. He would not let anyone do anything to them because their father was on the wrong side of things.
He was the first born son and they were all he had left.
Rivalry took a deep breath and pushed the doors open. He kept his head up as he walked up to the throne and the god sitting on it. He didn’t look back, he was sure his siblings were behind him. Besides, he couldn’t take his eyes off of Zeus. Zee had been impressed with him during the battle, but now… Zeus just looked like he belonged on that throne.
Zelos stopped in front of Zeus and got down on one knee. “You summoned us, my lord?”
