Again, to a certain extent, what Bast said was true, which is what made her lash out. Yet any time she actually was remembered, it was with fear or the desire to avoid the goddess. People didn't like change, and they preferred to only remember the good things in their lives, no matter how the bad was necessary to appreciate it.
Djehuty would understand. Set would understand, even if he still was an idiot for giving chaos in general a bad rap. Perhaps some of the Elders understood, too. But Ahti was in a different category than most deities, and Bast, with her charmed life as Aset's pretty little adopted princess, could never possibly get what it was like. Which made their entire conversation moot at this point.
She smiled then, not wanting the conversation to end on a completely sour note. "Well, if it does happen, there is something to be said for anonimity. Nobody ever knows I'm coming. Or where I might be going next." With that she gave a wink and disappeared.
