Ahti watched in amazement and irritation as the cat moved in on her game. It took little to recognize the annoying feline, which meant that the perpetually teenage fosterling of Isis must have spotted her and suspected she was up to no good.
Which wasn't at all the case, Ahti thought huffily. Well, alright, she had to admit that it wasn't really good that she was up to either. But it wasn't like she was trying to harm the woman. Which was the only reason she hadn't already retaliated at the cat. The thought had crossed Disorder's mind to send in a couple wasps, but she didn't want to take the chance the woman might actually be harmed. Unlike honeybees, a wasp will not lose its stinger, and can continue to sting over and over again.
She'd wanted to speed things along, not actually cause harm.
She wandered gracefully over toward the woman, acting all innocent and helpful.
"Shoo, kitty! This lady has enough trouble getting about without worrying about tripping over you. She can't even see you over her belly!." To the lady, ceasing her sing-song voice. "You must be due any day. Best be getting out of the sun, I should think."
