First and foremost. I again apologize for the lack of activity from us this past month. On that note, however, I would like to get a show of hands on who all is still playing. I recognize we have had a rough start, and I will not be holding any grudges from anyone who has changed their minds on playing. I'm just wanting to get an idea of where we're at right now. To that end, please comment with something on this post so that I can get a head count of sorts.
Second. We have decided to move prom to May 11th since the last month was so inactive and we didn't do the things we had meant to do. The prom itself will not have a great many characters going to it, but if you have a character that is going to it that will be the day to make a narrative or thread for it.
Currently, the plot has been adjusted a bit, but there will be a party thread for the teens of the game occurring this Friday hosted by one of the new NPCs. If you want your character to find something out please drop us a line at the plot box.
As the plot continues, the students at the high school have been wearing mood rings for about half a month now. They are all the same mood rings and there are only a few students who don't have one on at all times. These students are as follows: Kara Langly, Kyle Jackson(NPC), and Kerr Holden. All other students are wearing the rings and they also all believe that it is their own idea that they want to wear the ring. However they have convinced themselves (to be cool, to fit it, irony, why not?, etc,...) they want to wear the ring. It isn't exactly like Smeagol or anything like that, but they don't like to not have it on.
Final thing involving the plot. There will be a temporary physical ailment happening to a lot of people in the community. We are taking volunteers to throw your character under the bus now. Note: they will survive, they will also return to normal in a month's time. Submit your character into the plot box if you want to participate. Humans and Supernaturals are welcome for this bit of plot.

So this past month we mods were meaning to really get things going with a plot we have been working on that we thought would be fun. Unfortunately we were then all hit with real life crap that caused us all to pretty much be out of commission for a while.
We are hoping to get back up and going in this next month, but a few things will be happening to allow for everything to happen like we wanted it to. We are not entirely sure if we will be backdating or just pushing some things, but we will all be discussing things and let you all know during the monthly update.
Also, since we haven't been around to help inspire activity, I think it is only fair to skip the activity check this month, so if you are worried you haven't been active either, don't fret. We do want everyone to become a bit more active; however, we obviously can't ask of you guys what we have had trouble doing ourselves.
Again, sorry for being so inactive everyone.

When all of the students arrived at school today, there was a mood ring in their lockers. For whatever reason, all of the students felt compelled to wear one. The compelling is something they are not even aware of, their mind simply rationalizes it for them. "Oh! That looks cool." "So retro." "Free jewelry!" "Everyone else is wearing it." However you want to let your character rationalize why they decide to wear it.
The ring acts like a regular mood ring, so feel free to use the mood chart in the link for that.
There will be times when we inform you that certain characters' rings turn white. If you have looked at the chart you will notice white is not on there. Depending on how much you want your character to investigate this you can speak with us mods and we will let you know what happens.
On top of that, over Spring Break the creative writing teacher retired and went on a trip to write the novel he has long desired to write. In his place is a new teacher named Ms. Grenville. She has also been seen at the Foundation as she is hoping to become apart of the Foundation's staff as well. She's not your typical teacher, and those in her first and second period classes seem to have an entire different teacher(read bitch) than the classes in the afternoon who have the best and hottest new teacher at the school. She can also be seen on the beach and at the pub quite often. This NPC will be controlled primarily by Seriostar, so if you're interested in doing anything with her contact him.

Kyle Jackson
Kyle is a student at HCHS and a boarder at The Foundation. He's been around since the beginning of the school year, though it's probably a hit or miss if you've seen him around as he tends to ditch a lot. Those at The Foundation know he's a vampire. He's a bit of a 'bad boy', doesn't care about school, never attends the classes taught a The Foundation and it wouldn't be out of order to wonder why the Dean keeps him there as he seems to balk all the rules.
This NPC will be managed by Lexi, so reach out to her if you want to scene with him. Let's cause some trouble.

Hi there! New player to game. I'm Krista and this is all Seriostar's fault.
This is Karen Flannigan, older twin sister to Kaden. She's older by a whole minute and doesn't let him forget that. She's a native, plain old human (but knows there's weirdness in town because how could you miss it!) and looking for trouble like any good 21 year old Irish Catholic girl does.
All of that said I'm immediately going on hiatus for a week. LOL Sorry! I'm heading to Williamsburg, VA for RavenCon where I will be exposing a con virgin to the debauchery of scifi/fantasy/fandom conventions! (Hey, at least I'm starting her off small instead of tossing her into the deep end of something like DragonCon!) I'm leaving tonight. Con runs Thur-Sun, but I have an interview immediately after so I'll be staying at my brother's for an extra couple of days. I might get some time to poke me nose online, but I'll be back for sure Tuesday, April 9.

Hey guys Ganbri here introducing Kaden Flannigan he is 21 single and ready to mingle. He works at Flannigans which is a pub on the boardwalk that follows the Irish theme. Yes his family owns it well his mother does. He is the twin brother of Karen Flannigan so don't get them confused. He was born and raised in Hideaway Cove but never knew his father. Sadly he died in a car crash when the twins were only a few months old. He loves his mother so don't talk bad about her or he'll get mad.

Here is the first NPC for the season. She is a bit of a snob, but she is trying to be a little more accessible, especially since she has just moved to a new town. Her parents are rich and she always gets what she wants. She is constantly wearing clothes more expensive than some people's cars, and she doesn't quite understand what it's like to not have money.
She enjoys swimming, horseback riding, shopping, and seafood. She will indeed be coming into the high school as a senior and will be turning 18 towards the end of the month.
She does truly seem to want to be friendly even if she seems to have trouble with doing so.
Feel free to befriend her and I (Seriostar) will be available to do scenes with her as well.
If you have questions or simply want to play with her, simply treat this like a standard intro post and comment like normal.

I know we were all a little less active than we were hoping this month, so I was a little lenient on some of the activity this time. One of the main things about this rpg was that we weren't going to be asses about things.

Now for the big news
There are three things of big news.
Big news number 1
Welcome Ganbri as a new assistant mod. The game was originally created by he and I talking it out, and he was going to come in as a mod originally as well; however, since he hadn't had any experience in this exact way of gaming we decided to hold off for a while, but now with the other announcement to be later talked about Lexi and I have decided that it was time for him to officially come in as an assistant mod. YAY! :)
Big news number 2
We will be opening the game up to full public. This means that you will no longer have to worry about putting the referral on the applications and on top of that we will be advertising once we have altered all of the rules indicating that requirement. Hopefully this will bring in some new players and continued good times.
Big news number 3
Season 1 Begins
What does this mean exactly?
I'm glad you asked. After much deliberation among us mods, we decided that we would change up how we were going to do plots. There will be one major plot a year always beginning around this time. This is to allow for there to hopefully be extra time for both players and characters since it will take place mostly during the summer.
During the plots there will be new NPCs which will be available to associate with and we promote letting your characters get to know the NPCs that are introduced. Each of the mods will be playing particular characters solely for the plot, and while we have a plan in case we need to, we hope that we will not be the only ones socializing with these new characters.
During this week we will be introducing the new NPCs in a similar way that regular new characters are introduced. Throughout the season there will be plot points occurring. If you have a character who would like to look into anything in particular or would just like to have a scene with an NPC, all you have to do is let us know in the plot box.
Further more, there will be times throughout the plot that we will put up requests in the plot box. If you want to volunteer one of your characters just let us know in the plot box and we will get in touch with you.
There is a general idea of when the plot will wrap up, but in the end, we are flexible about that and if players get involved it could end earlier or later depending on what happens.
We hope to make this a fun first season! :D

So we forgot spring break. We also forgot some of the things that often happen in high schools.
Even though Spring Break technically took place in Florida earlier this month, we will have spring break occur next week April 1st-5th
Also, there will be a spring formal at the school this Friday, the 29th.
The prom will take place late in the month April, more to come in the April announcements about that.
On top of the spring formal, since many of the parents in Hideaway Cove will be free that evening, there will be a special event for the adults the evening of the 29th as well.
I believe that is everything. Sorry about forgetting those things, but this is our first spring in the game after all

Hey everyone,
Digi here with my third character.
Alyson Evans. She is 15. She is a vampire. She and her family are new to town, coming from New York. Alyson's adoptive father is also her sire. She loves being a vampire.
She is a bit on the conceded side, but she is friendly and tries to get along with everyone. She is sort of the queen bee type. She is always on top of the latest fashions and trends. She has a genius level intellect but it doesn't always show. For the most part she plays the part of your normal teenage girl.

I know, I know, the first was two days ago.
There have been a few things in my personal life over the past few days that caused me to be late on posting this. Hopefully it won't happen again, but as everyone knows, real life is a bitch sometimes.
First order of business. So far no one has submitted a plot or anything, so over the month, Lexi and I will discuss things to create some sort of short plot to play around with. That plot will likely not happen until April though, so if you're busy don't worry.
Second thing, activity requirements.
This seems to have been kind of a slow month for everyone, and on top of that, I want this to be a relatively relaxed game for everyone. That being said, I will be changing the activity requirements to an and/or type of thing. That is to say that the requirements will be as follows. One thread/scene and/or two comments or posts on the net board.
With this in mind, these are the characters that need to do some things:

The Boardwalk Mardi Gras Fiesta: Come one, come all to Hideaway Cove's Mardi Gras Fiesta! There will be traditional Mexican Cuisine, Music, Games, Prizes, and much much more!
The first full week of March, beginning Monday the 4th and continuing until Saturday the 9th, there will be a rise in tourism. Most of it will be centered around the Boardwalk and the hotel next to it, but it can often spill into the town. Have fun with it :)
St. Patty's Day at The Well: Green Beer, Irish Punk Music, and Drinking Games! One person will go home with a pot of gold! (A small pot filled with golden dollars tallying $100)

Hey there party people it's Lindsey here (Adina and Jasper) and here is my 3rd baby, Dallas Gurule! He's a half-demon and is 1,351 years old but looks to be about late twenties early thirties.
Don't let the demon thing bother you, he is bundle of fun and not evil at all. He can be if the occasion calls for it but... he grew up all around the world since his father banished him and his mother because he wasn't a full demon as his mother was a human magic wielder. His mother was killed when he was thirteen by assassins his father sent worried about him growing up and coming back to claim his birthright. After she died he went from place to place so that no one else he cared for would get hurt. He then returned home to Atlanta and found that his father had been killed by Dallas's half-sister that he never knew existed. Since he felt like she couldn't be all bad if she played a part in the death of their father he brought her back to life, however, the cost was both his and her immortality. His sister is married to a white mage and has three beautiful children. The twin girls, Trylana and Oriana and the baby David.
He was sent to Hideaway about 5 years ago to be the Department Head of Magic and the Adam's Foundation. So any magic teachers would report to him with any questions or concerns. he also teaches a few classes which are listed under Lessons.
On weekends he also teaches classes at the local gym (to be named in the near future). He teaches self-defense classes to the normal folk.
But anywhoo basically Dallas is a pretty laid back guy, he's only serious in his classes because if you mess up someone can die...and he stresses that. Outside of that he's pretty chill and wants to be seen as approachable in case anyone wants him for private tutoring which he also offers. Any other questions I refer you to his journal.

Hey so I live with the mod and get reminded I need to do this type of thing once every two days or so...so here it is.
I'm Ganbri I am new to the whole online RP thing so if we do any threads please be patient about my typos and such most of the time its auto-correct. I portray two of the characters in this thing. Eric and Adam who you can probably tell from what I've already posted they are completely different. If you see im starting to merge them or play them the same feel free to let me know.
Also in a few months if I disappear don't be alarmed its probably due to the small human ill be birthing.
With that being said it's nice to meet all of you and I hope to make friends with everyone.
