Who: Lily Potter, Open When: 21 August 2029, Afternoon Where: Diagon Alley What: Lily treats herself to a birthday present Rating: Probably no more than PG Status: Incomplete
Lily had the day off from practice. That never happened for her birthday, so this year she was going to make it count--whatever that meant. She'd spent most of the morning at her parents house, begrudgingly letting them do what they wanted, figuring she could at least humor them. After all, it was her parents and she was their youngest child. It would be heartless to not let them have their moment.
Her parents had given her money because they didn't know what she wanted or needed anymore. Lily really didn't know either, but she graciously accepted the money anyway. After her time with them was spent--they wanted the morning figuring they could let her have the evening to do whatever she wanted--she made her way to Diagon Alley to go home, but before going to her loft, she paused. Why not look around and see if she could find something to spend that money on? The question was, where to start? Her eyes landed on Flourish and Blotts first. She'd inherited a love for reading from the grandmother she'd never met, but she usually had too much energy to sit and read for long periods of time, which meant she was in the middle of four or five books as it was.
She considered Quality Quidditch Supplies as well, but she wasn't terribly sure what she needed from there either. When she'd gained a starting position on the Harpies, her father had gotten her a new broom and a broom repair kit. She kept her broom in excellent condition, so she really didn't need another one. Choices, choices and Lily wasn't quite sure where to start.
